Simply sharing all the details well in advance Members would at times annoy me by asking who is coming who is not.Why someone is not showing up .I did my due diligence but sat times RSVPs dint simply respond putting me in a difficult situation. 2.This approach worked very well to guarantee atleast 10+ members Bt Unfortunately I had to let it go because of the following challenges Members started to join in the last minute and then confirm becoming the 10th one.It worked for them personally but for those whose did their dues diligence , had to wait to until almost the end to know the location and plan.Some memers drive as much an hour so i is so Some members then hesitated to RSVP to begin with . Members not only Jumping in the meetup in the end but declaring venues on my behalf. Again it worked for them personally but it totally disregarded those who have actually confirmed and rsvp'ed in time but because there weren't 10 , I had to officially cancel it ,so they had to stay home while folks who broke rules had no issues hanging out with a smaller grou. 3So Latest Approach including today meetup Sharing venue only to rsvps 1 day in advance so eveyone has a fair chance to plan for the Monthly meetup Folks It is my humble request to not try to find loopholes here because at some point I may run out of all the approaches that work and that would ultimately plummet the monthly meetups too. Keep things clean , rsvping in time , showing up unless there is some emergency and not only when there are high number of rsvps , trying to think of the entire group rather than just your own. There would be times when it is a small group , Use that to connect with them ona 1 to one basis, sharing ideas how things can be done better rather than not showing up yourself ! C) VOLUNTEER OPPORUNITIES / GET INVOLVED Guys a lot of you who have been praising consistently about the Monthly meetups and have shown willing ness to help .Nominations are open to register for couchcrash that I plan to do in Oct 23.If anything is stopping you , Do ask questions tonight .No questions is dumb. There is also and House party or Creating your own is always an option too We are not disclosing any location details about the group from now on in the comments section.I am excited to see great numbers in our monthly , however I do see the need to add safety measures. If you are bringing guests , Kindly coordinate with the Restaurant/Venue about their policy and/or inform me well in advance. Last time at Betos (Trinity Groves),The restaurant was super stringent on even allowing 1 more. We still treated all our guests nicely and I was told they had a great time too .At the same time , I realize we don't have to get into un necessary conflicts.
