CS GRAZ STURM 2026 - Autumn COUCH CRASH

Hey fellow Couchsurfers, Friends and Nearby-Travelers! CS GRAZ cordially invites you to our annual highlight: STURM 2025, the cultural and fun 3 day Autumn CS Couch Crash in Graz, Austria! * This event will last from September 18th - 20th 2026 and is aimed to meet the Austrian, especially Styrian culture in combination with the fantastic idea of Couchsurfing. We've have organized all the activities for you for FREE. Beverages, dishes, tickets,... are to be paid by you, of course. * GRAZ (German pronunciation: [ˈɡʁaːts]) is Austria’s second-largest city (300,000 residents) and Styria’s capital. Its “Old Town,” a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site since 1999, is one of Central Europe’s best-preserved centers. Graz was also the Cultural Capital of Europe in 2003. * STURM [storm, from the cloudy appearance, austrian and bavarian expression] (meaning “storm”) is a popular alcoholic beverage available from early September to late October, typically with 4% alcohol. Made from fermented fresh grape juice (“must”), it’s delicious—but be careful: 2-3 glasses are often enough to prevent a rough next day! Enjoyed in Styria, it pairs well with warm roasted chestnuts (“Maroni”). Soccer fans may know Sturm Graz as a top club. Whether “Sturm” refers to the drink or the club, let’s find out! * Around this main event we will organize some INTERESTING and FUN ACTIVITIES [see schedule below], The most important ingredient is cheerful, open-minded participants who help us create unforgettable moments.
