DAY of the DEAD celebration

MEET AT ENTRANCES CRN OF OAKLAND SE AND MEMORIAL ! running a bit late we will wait . It is a really fun event with lots of folk dressed up in Viktorian style outfits. Some of the tombs are opened for view as well. A definite must do event which is free to attend with lots of food and booze vendors. a traditional Day of the Dead Festival ! This event is organized by the Consulate General of Mexico in Atlanta and the Institute of Mexican Culture. Admission is FREE! Bring the whole family and enjoy: - Dancing, music and entertainment - Crafts - Face painting - Displays of altars decorated with flowers, food, and beverages honoring lost family and friends - and more! Dressing up for the occasion is encouraged! Catrinas and Catrins Costume Contest: There will be a Catrinas and Catrins costume contest with cash prizes for the first places (kids and adults). Register for this contest at the festival entrance. You will be required to get on stage where voting will take place. P
