Early Morning Visit to Birqash Camel Market

What is this event? A group visit to the Birqash Camel Market, located about 60 km outside Cairo. It’s one of the region’s most unique and non-touristy spaces, where camels are traded early in the morning and everyday social life unfolds far from the usual tourist routes. Why early morning? The market is most active at dawn. To really experience it, we need to go early. Meeting & transportation • Getting there is everyone’s own responsibility • If enough people join, we may arrange a shared large vehicle from Downtown Cairo • Final details will be shared closer to the date What to expect • A raw, authentic social space • Observation, conversation, photography (respectfully) • No guiding, no program — just experiencing the place as it is Language & interaction • Having Arabic speakers in the group would be a big plus • It helps with communication and respectful interaction with people at the market Important notes • This is not a tour • Comfortable clothing recommended • Curiosity, respect, and open-mindedness required If you’re interested in seeing a different side of Cairo and sharing the experience with others, you’re welcome to join.
