Hi all! I am driving to Hveragerði from Reykjavík and back for work and offering free transportation on Saturday . This is ON only IF the weather will be good (no strong winds or heavy rains) and it is to be confirmed the night before. My work in Hveragerði finishes at around 5 pm, but I may dip myself too after work and head back to Rey before the dark. You could hike around a steam-filled valley Reykjadalur throughout the day and then dip in the river afterwards. If you would like to return to Rey earlier, there is the Strætó bus no. 51 from Hveragerði to Reykjavik which goes 4 times in the afternoon. Bring hiking equipment (waterproof jacket), a swimming suit/towel, and some food/water to keep you going throughout the day. There are only 3 passenger seats in the car but if all agree, it could be 4. Possible pick-up bus stops in Reykjavik are: Laugardalshöll, Orkuhúsið, Heimar, Mörkin, Gerði, Artun, and Hálsar. You should be on any of those stops at 08:20 am.
