Ilkidinga Hike and Coffee Farm Tour

I like hiking this trail because it's not far from the city and it has stunning views. On the plus side I get to visit a friend for a cup of coffee. My friend has a coffee farm, where we usually conduct coffee tours. I'd like to share this experience. Ilkidinga is a village 7km from Arusha surrounded by farms and small businesses. We head straight to a farm where our local humble host is a horticulturalist, beer keeper, small scale coffee cultivator and processor. On his farm we’ll enjoy an informative coffee tour & farm walk, where we’ll learn how he cultivates, roasts and grinds coffee using locally sourced means. A garden of lovely flowers facilitates his small scale bee keeping operation, while nurturing pollination of his banana and maize plants. Our generous host will let you take part in coffee processing and you’ll enjoy a nice cup of homemade coffee and have a taste of delicious honey from his bee hives.
