Vatican City
This is a chance to promote the Italian culture through food and it is not a commercial event. What I ask is refund of the expenses for 25€ per person. This covers only the expenses I have for food, wine, liquors, coffee, petrol, gas and electricity. I am not looking for quantity but for someone who likes to share our traditions. Hope to meet some cool people who are willing to learn. The dinners go upon request. For further info contact me privately and I will confirm availability!!! For those who are foodies and interested in sharing a meal in a proper Italian house I would suggest you to come to my place to understand the genuinely of our cooking. You can learn how we prepare food, cook pasta, the effort of making a delicious sauce, teach you how to make real espresso coffee, and let you taste Italian wine and liquors. Or you can just sit and enjoy the meal. I have 4 places available at the time. The meeting point is outside Battistini line A subway station by the only traffic light you see. Then we reach my place for dinner. After the meal I will take you back to the subway station by car. This is the link of the subway map as well as some useful info for tourists http://www.romelocalfriend.com/public-transport/ The dinner would consist in four delicious courses (starter, pasta/risotto/lasagna/cannelloni, main and dessert), wine, water, coffee and liquors. All that in Italian style with homemade food by myself. • Vegetables which are used are mostly home grown either in my little terrace or from a farmer (of course it depends on the season) • The meat is bought directly from a butcher in the countryside (but I tend to cook VEGETARIAN) • The wine is a good quality one either DOCG (label guaranteeing the quality and origin of a wine) or ITG (typical geographical indication) • The water I serve, which is a little bit sparking, is taken directly to a spring in the south of Rome, where I go monthly • Olive oil is bought straight from the producer (oil mill) once a year during the right season I am trying also to get some Bio ingredients from a farmer who’s also a butcher.
