About

MUNDANOS: Stories of Extraordinary Journeys is a series of travel talks featuring ordinary people who one day decided to do something extraordinary: spend months (or years) traveling the world. Participants include Adrián Lafuente, who recently returned from circumnavigating the globe without flying, a remarkable journey that took him 1,000 days, almost three years; Helena Selini, who cycled from Spain to Pakistan for 20 months with her partner; Luisa García and José Carlos Martínez, who spent over a year exploring the heart of Africa, a journey through 17 countries in a 4x4 pickup truck; and Samuel Salmerón, who traveled solo through Africa and the Americas, crossing both physical and personal borders, for over two and a half years on his motorcycle. The event is exclusively in-person and will be held in the Usera neighborhood of Madrid (40 Juan Español Street). Tickets to attend all the talks cost €25 and can be purchased at elalmacendeviajes.com. It's possible to attend both the morning and afternoon sessions at reduced prices and stay for lunch to chat with the speakers.
