Namaste Couch Crash - Bhopal, India - 2021

Welcome to the first Couch Crash of Central India – Namaste Couch Crash being organized in Bhopal, India for 3 days and 2 nights. The dates for the event are 23rd Jan and 24th Jan. Broad itinerary for the event is as below: Day 0 (Fri, 22nd Jan) • 20:00 - Pre Crash Party Day 1 (Sat, 23rd Jan) • 08:00 – Registration and Welcome with Event Brief • 11:00 – Old City Heritage walk tour • 15:30 – Tribal Art Museum • 18:00 – Talk by Bhopal Gas Tragedy Survivor - Mrs. Aruna Ghosh • 20:00 – Bring Your Own Booze Party Day 2 (Sun, 24th Jan) • 10:00 – Visit to Sanchi Stupa (UNESCO World Heritage Site) • 11:30 – Picture Stop when we cross Tropic of Cancer • 15:00 – River Side Camp Site and Bonfire and Musical Night by Couch surfers • 00:00 – Night Jungle Trek and Stargazing Day 3 (Mon, 25th Jan) • 09:00 – Depart for Bhopal *The schedule is subject to change based on details being worked by organizing team. **To register please join this main event and contact the organizers for the payment Where to Stay: Day 1 (Sat, 23rd Jan) – People are required to book their own beds at Hotel Bharat Regency. You can also contact organizers of the couch crash to help with the booking. Since January is Marriage season to get a confirmed stay in hotel please complete the booking before 15th Dec. Why Hotel Bharat Regency: • Offering 56% discount to CSers • Room rate – INR 400 per person on triple sharing (INR 1200 for a room) • Evening BYOB party will be held on the Hotel’s terrace with buffet organized by Hotel (Veg – INR 270; Non Veg INR 350 per head) Day 2 (Sun, 24th Jan) – Camping by the side of the river (this is included in the registration cost of the event) Registration Cost: Registration fees for the event is ~INR 1000 (Google Pay/Account transfer) Inclusions: • Camping – providing tents on twin sharing basis and bedding (INR 200) • Transport by bus from Bhopal to Sanchi to Camping Site and then back to Bhopal (INR 170) • Lunch, Snacks and Dinner on 24th Jan and Breakfast on 25th Jan (simple, traditional and tasty vegetarian food) (INR 630) Exclusions: • Accommodation on Day 1 in hostel (Already mentioned above) • Event T-shirt (INR 400) (Optional – Has to book in advance by paying for the T-shirt to organizer by 15th Dec and selecting size & Color) • Lunch Day 1 at Nerbada Restaurant – average cost INR 150 • Dinner Day 1 at Hotel Bharat Regency (cost mentioned above) • Monument Entrance fees as per government price for Sanchi (Indian INR 40, Foreigner INR 500) and Tribal Museum – (Indian INR 10; Foreigner INR 250) • Booze • Any conveyance to/within Bhopal • Anything not stated explicitly in the inclusions For us to do reservation for large scale camping we would require payments by 15th Dec. Should you have any change of plans we will be happy to process 100% refund on or before 14th Dec. Post 14th Dec we may not be able to refund as we may have paid full advance for camping. The organizing team is working on the cost of exclusion items and will make them clear in due course of time. Participants will have to bear these costs individually.
