About

DISCLAIMER: I'm not sure if I'm attending this event, but anyway, I leave here the info for those ones interested. SHORT DESCRIPTION ACCORDING TO ME -------------------------------------------------------- Like any other pagan celebration: people dance, sing and play music around a bonfire, many smaller groups may appear around. There's gonna be barely any cop around, so even though public consumption of alcohol is forbidden EEEEEEVERYBODY will be drinking. Some death is expected to happen as the place for the "ritual" is near a former quarry turned into an artificial lake, and there's always, always, AAAAAAAALWAYS some drunk dude who falls into the void from a 50 m height like Homer Simpson does in the Springfield Gorge and either gets kill by hitting the rocks in the cliff or drowns in the water below. Please don't be that guy. and now... LONG SPEECH FROM THE ORGANIZERS ----------------------------------------------------- We wish to invite You fo Noc Kupały! Let's celebrate together the shortest night of the Year and Summer Solistice! 🙂 It is one of the most important Holidays during the Year, Small Sabbath. Let's make fire, let's weave wreaths and put them on the water! Let's celebrate this Sabbath with joy and with prayers to Belenos and Swarożyc, Apollo and Helios, Sol and Mitra - the Gods of the Sun! You can expect Ritual, music, dances, playing near fire, artistic performances and great joy! ************************************************** ************************************************** We are meeting at 19:55 on Zakrzówek, on the end of Twardowskiego street, from this place we are going to the place of the Ritual. ************************************************** ************************************************** We recommend to come wearing white clothes, especially made like the medieval ones (not mandatory, but nice to have). What to bring with yourself? For the celebrations you need a white candle and/or a torch, a mead for every 2 people - very important - and some food for sacrifice: apples or other fruits (like strawberries, cherries or other), meat, bread and cakes. We also ask to bring some green plants and roses (white or yellow)! Historical description: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kupala_Night
