Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
Hey nature lovers I’m heading out on a counter-clockwise camping & hiking journey through North-East Victoria with my Queenslander friend, and I’m opening it up to 1–2 like-minded people who’d love to join for part or all of the trip. 🗓 Dates Sat 7 Mar (2:00 p.m.) → Tue 10 Mar (11:00 a.m.) We’ll finish after a sunrise lookout on the final morning, then head back toward Melbourne. 🗺️ Route Yarra Valley → Marysville → Cathedral Range → Healesville → Kinglake / Strath Creek → back to Melbourne 🏕️ Trip style • Different booked Parks Victoria campgrounds each night • Long scenic hikes Days 1–3 (3–7 hrs/day) • Not rushed, but intentional and well-paced • A balance of nature, views, waterfalls, art, reflection, and quiet evenings 🥾 Hiking level Good fitness required — especially for Cathedral Range. This isn’t extreme, but it’s definitely more than casual strolling. 🚗 Transport Older Mazda 3 sedan — space is limited, so compact gear only please. 💰 Costs Fuel + campsites split evenly. 🔥 Important note It’s fire season. Plans may adjust based on weather, smoke, or park closures. Flexibility and good communication are essential. ✨ Highlights • Keppel Lookout • Cathedral North Peak • Bruno’s Art & Sculpture Garden • Masons Falls (Kinglake NP) • Forests, ridgelines, rivers • Sunrise at Hang’s Tree to close the journey 📩 If you’re keen, please message me with 1. Your hiking experience 2. What gear you have (tent / sleep setup) 3. Which days you’re available 4. A short note about what draws you to this kind of trip Quality humans > quantity 🌿 Happy to answer any questions.
