NYC Couchsurfing Ugly Sweater Holiday Party

Hey CSers! It's that time of the year again, the holidays are coming, the year's wrapping up, and people want to party, so let's have an "ugly sweater" holiday party, Couchsurfing style! What's an "ugly sweater", you ask? They have decent drinks, darts, shuffleboard, and two pool tables in the back and prices are relatively cheap for the neighborhood. If you attended our Halloween event, you know O'Hanlon's as this was the location of our afterparty and people enjoyed it, so might as well go back. The bar allows food to be brought in from outside, so feel free to grab something on the way for yourself or to share. Some nearby options are: The Halal Guys Artichoke Pizza Empanada Mama Wingstop KFC How to get to O'Hanlon's: The subway (metro) is your friend. The closest trains are: L (gray line) to 1st Ave. This is the closest subway stop and will leave you on the corner across from the bar. N/Q/W (yellow line) OR 4/5/6 (green line) to Union Square. From here you can change to the L and be right outside the bar, or you can walk the few blocks. Citibike: there's a dock right across the street from the bar on the corner of 1st Ave & 14th St, so you can come and go by bike if you're adventurous. Wearing an "ugly sweater" is NOT mandatory, but it's more fun if you do! This is a non-denominational holiday party that is open to everyone, regardless of which holiday you celebrate or if you don't celebrate any holiday at all. Everyone's welcome! We'll have some drinks, play some games, and if people are up for it we can move to one of several nearby bars for dancing later in the night. See you all at O'Hanlon's!
