A sacred & heritage pilgrimage in Uttarakhand, India, honoring Goddess Nanda Devi.  It is also known as the "Himalayan Kumbh".  The Yatra is a once-in-12-years event, connecting Kumaon and Garhwal regions.  Q2. When will yatra begin? Begin on Nanda Ashtami, around September 4th, 2026. The journey spans around 20 days.  Q3. What is the yatra route? The 280 km journey starts from Nauti village in Chamoli district and concludes at Homkund.  Q4. What is Significance of Yatra? It symbolizes the divine journey of Maa Nanda Devi, an incarnation of Parvati, returning to Mount Kailash.  Culturally, the Yatra involves rituals, folk songs, and devotion, highlighting the deep cultural and spiritual heritage of the Himalayas.  The Government of Uttarakhand has begun preparations for the Yatra. Stay connected for further updates and to join this divine journey.
