Hi everyone, Are you looking for a place where you can speak/practice English? You are welcome to join Spotlight English club, no worries if you are new and don’t know how to speak. We are at: 17th floor, Detech tower, 8c Ton That Thuyet street, Nam Tu Liem district. We meet at 6:30pm for registration, receiving print out for the audio we will listen and chatting. Around 6:45-7pm, we sit in a circle and start with introduction. We then learn some common idioms, such as “on the tip of my tongue”, “ring a bell” We then started to listen to the audio. (The last audio is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E4qhxn0FM_0) After finishing listening, we are divided into smaller groups, each group is led by a foreigner to discuss the topic. The group leader normally started by another introduction for people in the group, and ask if there is any vocabulary someone doesn’t understand. Then group leader made questions for people in the group to discuss. This is a great way to learn and practice English, at the same time, express your opinion/thoughts, sharing your experiences and make friends. Each Monday evening there are between 30-40 people join. A video about this is here: https://youtu.be/00m1vUbsbG4 If you come as an attendant, not as a volunteer, you may be requested to pay a joining fee starting the 2nd time you come to the club. The joining fee is 50,000 VND/month. This is to cover the fee for printing documents, paying for utility bills and other expenses for the English club. (We don’t have to pay for the rent of the location, because a church let us use this venue for free) Let me know if you have any question or if you want to come!
