About Me

Hey friends! 👋 I'm Oleh from Ukraine, currently living in a tiny but amazingly beautiful Slovenia, and I'd love to share my home and free time with fellow travellers!

🎗️ My CS Story:
My couchsurfing journey began in 2018 during my Eurotrip. What started as a way to save money turned into something much more meaningful - incredible connections and unforgettable experiences with amazing hosts. With a tight budget, I combined hitchhiking and couchsurfing, which not only helped me travel affordably but also led to the most authentic and memorable experiences. These adventures inspired me to open my own doors and give back to the community!

It's amazing how often a seemingly ordinary Wednesday turns into an unforgettable day just because of a couchsurfing guest!

Even a short visit can bring so much joy - whether it's discovering a new song or a cool recipe or learning about a completely different way of living. This platform is truly unique, and I'm grateful for the chance to be part of this amazing community!

👱🏼‍♂️About me:
I would describe myself as an active person, always ready for adventures. Enjoying life. Trying to find myself. For me it’s really difficult to stay at home and when I have some free time I do different outdoor activities such a running,
bicycling, hiking to the mountains, playing football and beach volleyball, throwing frisbee etc.

I really like to host people during the weekend so we can spend the whole day together- visiting some beautiful places! But if you come during the week it’s also okay 👍 there are some nice places not far from Ljubljana that we can visit after I finish my work:)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I believe that is the best way to get real experience about the place where I travel to. To meet new people is the Best thing about travelling.

And when hosting :
To be part of someone’s big adventure.
To rip apart my normal flow of daily life.
To meet special people from all over the world 🌏

🔥I really like how one person can break into your routine life and make the day truly special! 🔥

At the end of the day, human connection is what life is for. It nourishes the soul and helps us grow, so I am here to open my life up to new experiences, new people and endless possibilities.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you are visiting Slovenia for the first time and will spend few days here - I advice you to give Ljubljana only one day and then go check lakes Bohinj and Bled, Soča river, Slovenian coast etc. In my opinion Slovenia is more about beauty of nature. Don’t make a mistake of spending your time only in a capital!

🚴 There are plenty beautiful bicycles routes near Ljubljana
and we can drive some of them (there is a bike for my guests)
🏔 Slovenia is a great country for mountain hiking
We can hike on one the little hills near the town or try to conquer the higher mountains together.
♟ If you a chess fan we can spend the evenings at the board :)
🏐 If you play beach volley there is one great sport centre with indoors pitches so we can play whole year round!

Countries I’ve Visited

Armenia, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russian Federation, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Ukraine, Vatican City State
