About Me

I dont want to look back on my life and think that I missed out...so I want to see and experence as much as i can before that time comes

I just want to do as much and see as much as I can. I have the chance to see and do great things just by living so I want to take full advantage of my life and see all that I can.

Really my whole life is travel. Since I have been out of school I have not been grounded, in one place, for longer then a few months. I move to a place in the world I have always wanted to live, work whatever job I can get, till I gain enough money to move on. I can list all my life plans and goals; tell you them sideways up ways over and under...But until I act on them they are just that.

I am blessed to be a part of a wonderful and every changing artist collective in Chicago. It has given me a home and a base for myself. A grounding so to say. It is my home and my heart that I share with these people. Though traveling will always call me away my friends there are my home.

I am always planning ahead for my next adventure, tho I am very easy-going and living for the loss of control in 'the now'.

When I go home and my friends ask, 'how can you live like that?' and I don't know how I couldn't live like this with out loosing a zest for life.

Traveling is pure free fall & I am addicted to having the wind breeze past my face.

I eat kiwis like apples.

Today is the youngest your ever going to be.

I love meeting people. They are truly the things that bind, ground, change, challenge, and shape us. The world is filled with so many wonderful and different sorts of astonishing people. I find that though I do move and leave places often. I have an active and intentioned ability to keep up with friends. I write lots of letters, make time to call, Skype, visit or whatever. I make time for people, with this ability I am able to let go of the 'space' that holds us together and go forth into the world with my backpack. But if it were not for my connections and care for the ones I meet and treasure, I would be nothing but a mere wandering lost soul. It is my friends, family, and the people of this world that bind me together.

Life is too short and there are too many things to do so why waste the time - get up and start living!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Host/be hosted
I also talk about Couchsurfing to EVERYONE I meet. This is what the internet was MADE for. Give without expectations and you'll be shocked at what comes back to you.

I have made some great and very close friends from Couchsurfing. Michelle was one of the first people I ever hosted and now, that crazy mass of woman she is, has become a very close friend & travel partner. Having gone to over 8 countries together since meeting! Evan and I met when I stayed with him in Seattle. Since then we have been traveling together, on and off since 2006. Hitting up 4 continents together!! Eamon is another who I have meet in many locations all over time and space. There are many others...

The list will fill as I interact more. I look forward to being old and sharing my time with my close friends who grew from nothing more then a profile and a couch to surf. How this will change the world; how it HAS changed the world!

I have shared my home plenty of times. And have been a guest in others homes as well. It is always a good time & great adventure that seems to open up to even more wondrous things.

Traveling, music, meeting new people, writing letters, reading, cooking, making art, recycling, playing sports, card games, making true and lasting connections with the time we have together, learning (there is too much out there & too much to learn to not be a nerd), biking, silliness, Burning Man, challenging myself everyday, testing my own limits, losing my identity in order to grow and progress.

Being around people that make me happy and challenge my thoughts.
