About Me
Hello! I’m Abdou, a 20-year-old from the beautiful island of Djerba, Tunisia a place known for its rich history, stunning beaches, and warm hospitality. I’m currently in the United States as an exchange student, studying at Murray State University in Kentucky. This journey is a huge milestone for me, as it’s my first time traveling abroad. I’m eager to explore new cultures, meet inspiring people, and make the most of this incredible experience. Summer 2025 i will move to France to finish my studies in Lille.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am in the United States for the first time, and it's also my first time traveling. I'm here until May and on a budget, but I'm ambitious and eager to make the most of this experience. I prefer connecting with locals to truly immerse myself in the culture, meet new people, and enhance my adventure.
Interests
I have a deep passion for entrepreneurship, technology, and cultural exchange. I enjoy developing business ideas, working with startups, and exploring how technology, especially business intelligence, can drive growth. In addition, I have a strong interest in web development and programming, constantly learning new skills to create innovative digital solutions. Beyond academics and work, I love engaging in social initiatives, volunteering, and connecting with people from different backgrounds.
I am also passionate about photography, capturing moments that tell stories and reflect different cultures. Traveling is another major interest of mine, I love exploring new places, meeting people, and immersing myself in diverse traditions. As an exchange student, I see this journey as an opportunity to expand my perspective and embrace new experiences. Additionally, I am committed to mastering English, as I believe language is a bridge to deeper connections and opportunities worldwide.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I helped businesses and startups grow as a program coordinator in an incubation program, which I consider a great social achievement. Additionally, at the age of 17, I volunteered as a first aid responder during the pandemic, helping to save lives in my community.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach delicious Tunisian cooking, how to develop business ideas, web development, programming, and soft skills! I'm eager to learn about history, art, and the American lifestyle. I also love sharing my culture, including our traditions, habits, and unique dishes.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can offer good company, cultural exchange, and a helping hand. I love sharing stories from my experiences as an exchange student and social activist. If you’re interested, I’d be happy to cook a meal from my home country, Tunisia, or help with household tasks. I’m also a great listener and enjoy meaningful conversations. Most importantly, I respect my hosts’ space, time, and house rules to make the experience enjoyable for both of us.
