Overview
About Me
I was born and raised in Bangalore, India, but I’ve been living in the United States since 2016. I currently live in Santa Fe and I’m a technology consultant by profession.
I like all things food, travel and good company in no particular order. Some other things that I like are, hot springs, head massages, chai, quiet evenings, flowers, beaches, kivas, jazz music, smells of roasting chillies and wet earth.
I enjoy listening to people talking about their life experiences. It challenges me to think in different ways, helps me break stereotypes and softens my biases.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have had the opportunity to interact with such special people that I wouldn’t have met otherwise, if not for CS. I believe that sharing each others personal spaces with strangers is a beautiful way of connecting with humans. I’m on CS to belong to a community of adventurists and wanderers, who believe in having a good time. I’ve met some fantastic folks through CS and I look forward to contributing to the community in every way possible. Always lead with kindness.
Interests
I'm a hip hop dancer and I play the ukulele. I like going on hikes and also getting lost in a new city. I like showing myself new places as often as I can. I feel at peace when I’m in nature. I can visit big cities - just to tap on the chaotic mix of human energies and to saunter around. I love checking of new restaurants, bars, cafes, museums and farmers market.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to alt, jazz, indie and Bollywood. Pop, sometimes. My attention span with movies has diminished. And I wish I had cultivated the habit of reading early on. I have read a few books, but one of my favorites of all times is The Kite Runner. Khaled Hosseini is also my fav author.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I rejected a corporate job offer to take up social work full time for 2 years.
Teach, Learn, Share
I could teach how to make really good chai. Happy to help you with household chores. I could teach you some Bollywood dance involving pelvic thrusts. I could play ukulele for you if you promise to sing along.
Happy to learn whatever you have to share. We’re all stories in the end, so I LOVE me some stories.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A place to rest. Chai to cheer up. A shower to clean up. I cook good Indian food if we get a chance to share a meal together. I love showing my city to first timers. I have a bunch of cool friends that you’d enjoy meeting, if it comes to that.
