Hi there 😊 my name is Abi Rose. I'm a Kiwi from the South Island of New Zealand 🇳🇿 (we call ourselves Kiwis after the kiwi bird of New Zealand, not the fruit 🥝❌️😄). I now live and work in Jämtland, Sweden 🇸🇪

What am I like? I'm happy. I'm down to earth (mostly 😁), and I value honest conversations about life, personal stories, and hope. The connections I have made with people along the way are what I hold dear the most from my travels.

I live very much in the moment, but I also am a deep thinker. I like to take (calculated) risks for the thrill and to see what I'm capable of. I don't mind not knowing the outcome of a situation or the future.

I can get along with anyone, even if we don't agree 😁 cause I'd rather pick flowers than a fight 🌻

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on here to make connections and hopefully lasting friendships along the way. I'm also (not now! I'm back home in Sweden. But I will hopefully be wandering again when summer returns to save me 😁) solo wandering around Europe and would love to meet you to hear your stories, learn your culture and background, and have an authentic experience of the countries that I visit.

When I get back home to New Zealand, I'd love to host travelers on their journeys through my country, share my local knowledge and kiwi slang 😁

Interests

I like people 😁 I will probably like you too!
I like the outdoors, seeing something new and going places I've never been before. I'll try anything once (within reason and morals 😄). I have a lot of varied interests, from space to longboarding 🪐🛹
When it's hot 🌞 I love to swim! I'm like a fish 😄
I also like mountain biking 🚵‍♀️ when it's not too hot 😄
I love animals and my dream is to swim with a manatee 😍
But honestly, though, I would give up every adventure for a real connection with someone 🌻

Music, Movies, and Books

I like to listen to almost every genre of music. I also play the piano and guitar, and I like to sing and write my own lyrics.

The books I read are mostly nonfiction, psychology and philosophy.

I rarely watch movies (I'd rather talk to you 😁), but if I do, I'd probably watch kids' movies 😄 or one with a well written storyline
