Overview
About Me
Hi, my name is Abizar but you can call me Abi, and I'm a freelance dive guide in Labuan Bajo. I travel around Indonesia and love to share stories about my journeys. People tell me I'm funny, but you can be the judge of that! I really enjoy just sitting, talking, or watching the sunset with music. It's one of my favorite things. So, if you've got a good story, a cup of coffee, diving, or just a silly thought, we're already friends.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on Couchsurfing to meet new people, share stories, and explore places through local eyes. I believe the best part of travel isn’t just where you go — it’s who you meet along the way.

Music, Movies, and Books
I’m all about romantic songs, especially from indie bands — think soft tunes that set the mood just right. When I’m not immersed in music, I’m diving into ocean documentaries like Chasing Coral, The Cove, and My Octopus Teacher — they fuel my love for the sea.
I mostly read romantic novels, but I also enjoy books about Indonesia, like Bumi Manusia by Pramoedya Ananta Toer. Music, the ocean, and stories — that’s what I’m passionate about.
We can talk about it later 😎
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once dreamed of traveling around Indonesia with no money. Instead, life said, ‘Hold my kopi’ — and gave me a job that pays me to travel. Moral of the story: be careful what you wish for, especially if it involves free sambal and airport naps.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share stories from my travels around Indonesia, my love for diving and the ocean, and some good music (mostly indie and romantic vibes). I’m always happy to help around, cook simple meals (i mean help with cutting union, tomato hahaha), or just have a chill chat over coffee. I may not bring souvenirs, but I bring good vibes!
