Got the travel bug a few years back and I've travelled 20 countries or so in the last few years, eager to scratch plenty more off the list!
I've a B.A. in geography and sociology and love learning about people, places and things....

I want to see and learn so much about this big bad world. My fascination (borderline obsession) makes it tough to make the big bucks and so I travel on a budget.
It's far better and more fulfilling staying with someone local, immersing yourself in the real day to day runnings of the place.
What's the point in staying in a globally recognised hotel that's identical to the one in my own city?

Travel is high up there at number one.
But there's more, don't worry! I love outdoor activities, camping, chatting about absolute nonsense for hours on end, drinking (I am Irish after all!), crafts, writing and I am a keen collager.

I've taught in schools in Ireland, Haiti, Kenya and India at primary and secondary school levels and I tutor college geography.
Eager beaver when it comes to learning and sharing knowledge about anything and everything!
