About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To master the banjo, put over 300,000 miles on my car, become functionally enlightened, and write poems about what I see.

ABOUT ME

I am a long-time meditator, mostly on silent retreats, and I'm really into Buddhist and other eastern/psychedelic type philosophy. I'm also pretty laid back, and just a funny guy. I am 28.

PHILOSOPHY

be the guy you want to see in the world

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I can, I like to offer a space for others to travel safely and cheaply.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couchsurfed with others about ten times total and my last time was two years ago on a cross country road trip. All my experiences have been really sweet and the hosts have run the gamut from college students to retired married couples in Las Cruces, NM, Austin, TX, San Francisco, CA, and Salt Lake City, UT. My favorite experience is playing music, cooking and chatting over breakfast with the other surfers, but I'm up for all manner of adventure too.

Interests

Kitchen Badminton, Living room Dancing, window people watching, porch talking, making the utilities bills into art with prizes, still enjoying semi charmed life by third eye blind, buddhist stuff and philosophy and philo dough and my friend pedro.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living/working at a meditation center in northern california for two years, traveling through Thailand, India, and Nepal for 3 months with my partner, riding my bike at burning man 3 times, 3 years cooking for food not bombs, one year volunteering with the zen hospice project in san francisco, one year volunteering with an hiv testing/needle exchange clinic, overcoming my fear of dancing.

Teach, Learn, Share

Wish for others to have the good things you want for yourself, and your chances for happiness increase 7 Billion to 1.
