I began traveling in 2011 with the intention of going on a trip. Almost eight years later and Im still on the road, having discovered a passion for photography and culture along the way. For those interested, my work is largely on IG at @weownthemoment

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hosted as much as I possibly could while stationary, and am a very well-mannered and socially intelligent surfer. I dont get to use it as much as I would like to these days, but I always love it when Im able!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I used to use this site exclusively, but simply haven't had the opportunities in my recent travels. I still often "couchsurf," just less frequently with this site :)

Intereses

I am most interested in "capturing" the feel of a place through photography. While landscapes are my passion, I am also interested in cultural events. Of course, I am equally happy to put the camera down and enjoy a beer or some live music as well! I love good conversation, sunsets, animals, nature, beer, music... you know, all the good stuff!

I am most passionate about travel and photography and am always happy to teach anyone interested what I can about these things!

Watched (and photographed) a volcano erupt.
Swam in bio luminescent waters (under a lunar eclipse, no less.)
Traveled all 50 states
Watched the aurora borealis go crazy during a geomagnetic storm
Saw the Aurora Australis and Borealis in the same year
Flew a 4-seater prop plane over Kaikoura Valley in NZ
Lived for 3 years out of a VW Passat station wagon, traveling the continental US.
Backpacked through every country in Central America over 6 months.

I can teach you how to travel the nation for free, except gas - but even that can come with a discount. I am also happy to offer photography or videography lessons for those interested!

I have plenty to learn about plenty of things...

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

Im happy to help with meals, though I'm admittedly an embarrassment in the kitchen. If you have any interest in learning photography, or would like some professional photos for souvenirs from our time together, I am always super keen to share my love for photography.
