About Me
я хочу улучшить свой русский!
I will be staying in saint Petersburg from Jan 31 to February 5, 2021, to improve my (very bad) Russian. I would be very happy to meet as many people from saint Petersburg as possible, to chat (I also speak English, German and French) and learn about the city!
***
The kind-hearted call me tongue in cheek, others call me horribly politically incorrect. I'm a civilized libertarian, a hobo in a suit, a sociable loner, and a million other contradictions.
I'm currently learning Russian, and I need to practice my rusty German, so I have clear preference for hosts who speak those languages.
Note to the ladies : I am guessing you have received "shady offers" on CS. Suffice to say, you will always be treated respectfully.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Maybe you and I will become inseparable items, friends forever, maybe we'll start a business together, maybe I'll just lend you a couch and, years later, out of gratitude, you'll donate a kidney after I've crashed my car. Or maybe I will have helped a traveler enjoy the day, and never see you again. Either way, I haven't lost my time.
Interests
Greek politics, music, art, geography, history, mathematics, social science, psychology, strategy, mechanics, business, poetry, analytical endeavors, and a few hundred other things.
Music, Movies, and Books
Too long to quote.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I saw dead people vote for Democrats, once.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'll teach you how to play the blues on a guitar, how to do proper push-ups, how to start a business, how to flunk it, and how to negotiate.
I wouldn't mind learning more Russian, practicing my German, learning how to cook better, but most of all being intelligently contradicted.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Comfortable (but small) place to stay, if only to get you out of a pinch, tips on the crunchy bits of Paris, good music, good company, endless supplies of booze and annoying contradictions, good banter, and a morning ride through the empty streets of Paris in a 1950s car. If it starts.
