Chi sono

A Passionate School Teacher (अध्यापक), Enthusiastic Traveler (घुमक्कड़), Adventurous Solo Trekker (पर्वतारोही), Creative Photographer (फोटोग्राफर), and trying to be a Inspiring Content Creator! ✨️

The Majestic Himalayas, Comforting Tea (Chai), Timeless Old Songs, and the Joy of Teaching will always be My Greatest Love. ❤️

I am a slow traveller, not someone who visits places just to tick destinations off a list. Through slow travel and long treks, I try to feel the real essence / true soul of a place and live every moment with presence and curiosity.

⚠️ Most Important Note for Staying Requests:

The most important thing before sending a staying request is to read my entire profile carefully, especially the “Accepting Guests” section, as it contains many important details. If any essential information is missing in your request, I may not accept it, and I might not be able to reply.

If you are requesting to stay with another person (your friend / partner), that person must also have an active Couchsurfing profile. At least one of you should have a few references, or your staying request must be genuine, meaningful and impactful.

Please always remember that Couchsurfing is not a dating app. It is a hospitality exchange platform built on trust, respect and cultural exchange. Make sure you clearly understand the purpose of the Couchsurfing community before sending a request.

Please also remember that this is someone’s home, not a hotel and not a place to chill for freebies (if you've that kind of mindset). You must be aware of and follow all basic guest etiquettes while staying at someone’s place.

This message may sound a bit strict, but I am taking this firm and necessary decision after an unpleasant incident at my place involving a Couchsurfing guest. I hope you understand my situation and respect my boundaries.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. 🙏😊

◆ CURRENT MISSION :

I don’t want my home to be surrounded by walls, but by ideas, cultures, stories and meaningful conversations from around the world. I believe travel is not just about visiting places, but about understanding people and their journeys.

Through hosting, I welcome different perspectives, shared experiences and mutual respect – so that cultures from every country can flow freely, creating warmth, learning and genuine human connections.

◆ PHILOSOPHY :

● कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन।
मा कर्मफलहेतुर्भुर्मा ते संगोऽस्त्वकर्मणि॥
(Karmanye Vadhikaraste, Ma phaleshou kada chana, Ma Karma Phala Hetur Bhurmatey Sangostva Akarmani)
भावार्थ : तेरा कर्म करने में ही अधिकार है, उसके फलों में कभी नहीं। इसलिए तू कर्मों के फल हेतु मत हो तथा तेरी कर्म न करने में भी आसक्ति न हो।
You have a right to perform your prescribed duty, but you are not entitled to the fruits of action. Never consider yourself to be the cause of the results of your activities, and never be attached to not doing your duty.
- Bhagavad Gita, Chapter II, Verse 47

● 'Every single person in your life was once a stranger to you.' So I'm convinced that- "EVERYONE SHOULD TALK TO THE STRANGERS."
You also should talk to the strangers, I'll tell you why-
1)- A stranger give you a whole new perspective.
2)- Every stranger comes with an opportunity of learning something new.
3)- Every stranger comes with a story that you've never heard before.
Now I think you're also convinced after reading this ;)

● Treat others as you would like to be treated.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

• I completed a trek across a 4720m high mountain pass in 2016 during my Manimahesh Parikrama in Himachal Pradesh.

• I have done most of my treks solo across Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.

• I witnessed the world-famous Kullu Dussehra twice – in 2015 and 2018.

• I went on a solo winter trip to Spiti Valley (HP) in the last week of December 2018.

• I walked on a completely frozen river in Spiti in December 2018.

• I experienced –33°C in Kaza and +51°C in Jaisalmer, witnessing India’s extreme climates.

• I spent 24 hours on a bus journey from Shimla to Kaza during extreme winter conditions.

• I was part of the largest peaceful human gathering in history during Kumbh Mela 2019 at Prayagraj.

• I witnessed the famous Wagah Border Retreat Ceremony.

• I hitchhiked in a truck from Keylong to Leh and then Leh to Ambala – about 1,200 km, spending 6 days living in the truck, learning how truckers cook and sleep in my Camping tent on the road.

• My highest elevation so far is 5,372 m (17,624 ft) at Khardung La on 1st October 2019.

• I completed a solo cycling trip from Auraiya to Agra in just 2 days during extreme winter and once cycled 120 km in 6 hours.

• I have witnessed live snowfall many times – first in Dalhousie (January 2014), and later at Baralacha La and Khardung La during my solo Leh trip in October 2019.

There are many more stories and experiences from my journey that aren’t written here – you’ll discover them when we meet, or when our vibes naturally align.
