About Me
A learning traveller who spends his leisure with daydreaming and reading random stuff on internet.
I am on social media, check @affanugrah on Instagram
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I join couchsurfing because I believe to live up to the perks of travelling; I need to meet new friends that can help me being introduced to the local culture, and while at it, give me some time and place to arrange my plans during my stay in the city.
In return, if you come to my city I will be glad to meet up for coffee and help you with your stay as I could!
Interests
I'm a self-proclaimed foodie and also a home cook. I never have any professional training on cooking, I just find cooking therapeutic, it really calms me down.
I love great outdoors such as hiking and diving. I just recently take scuba diving license (Open Water) and that allows me to taste underwater experience and explore diving sites around the island where I live. Now my new set goal is to add more diving experience.
I am a frequent music festival/concert goer, let me know if you look for locally held music festival in town when you are visiting.
Travelling to new places for breaking the stereotypes and being fascinated with humanity all around the world is my aspiration in life.
- music festivals
- hiking

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to pretty much anything. However, soul and blues tracks my mom used to play at home when I was younger were the first tunes I fancy, and are still my thing now as well. I am also a fan of music of Florence+The Machine, Sigur Ros, and Coldplay.
I am a Potterhead! I am from the House of Hufflepuff.
I love my books (Gender, psychology, Classic fictions etc), but Manga is life! LoL
You can see what I got on my bookshelves in goodreads (ID : afdhalabdillah27 )
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Without an advanced planning, I made a last minute decision to travel to Kashmir from India, stayed a night at a houseboat in Srinagar, and continued to Gulmarg, western Himalaya as a solo backpacker. I rode the cable car and went up to the second phase of gondola to reach the snowy mountain top, it was the most beautiful scenery ever and I was proud of myself for being able to pull this solo trip off successfully, I literally had the best solitary moment, sometimes it is good to be alone to find peace, I think;)
I recently hiked an active volcano (Mount Dukono, North Maluku) , and made it to the summit just in time when the crater roars and erupts. I never dreamed of witnessing a volcano's eruption up close but it was incredible!

I will teach you everything about different kinds of Indonesian food, from learning about the ingredients, to how you can make them at home.
I want to learn your own tips about travelling in your country, from the basic local phrases to survive, to how to use transportation system. I am definitely curious with your favorite food as well:)
I'll be glad to share as many things as I could. Let me know what I can share with you:)
