Welcome, World Cup travelers! ⚽ I’d be happy to host you and show you around. I’m originally from Morocco, now based in NYC. I’m a musician and a big fan of the arts—always up for anything creative, from live music to gallery hopping. Moving from my small hometown of Asilah to a fast-paced city was a defining experience. At first, I found myself comparing everything—the rhythm of daily life, the people, even the smallest details. Over time, I learned to appreciate both worlds in their own way. I’ve been hosting since 2008, and back home I was one of the first to welcome Couchsurfers to Asilah. I loved giving visitors a full local experience—home-cooked food, walks through town, and genuine moments with the community. That’s where my hosting philosophy comes from: the best way to discover a place is through the eyes of someone who lives it. Couchsurfing has also been a window to the world for me. Even before I left Morocco, connecting with people from different cultures, languages, and traditions taught me so much—about food, communication, and how diverse (and similar) we all are.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I’ve been a member of Couchsurfing since 2008, and it’s honestly been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. It has allowed me to meet incredible people from all over the world, experience different cultures, and create unforgettable memories that truly shaped the way I see life. I’m now based in New York City, and I love the energy, diversity, and constant movement of this place. As a host, I enjoy sharing my version of NYC—whether that’s walking through different neighborhoods, discovering hidden spots, grabbing good food, or just having meaningful conversations. New York can feel overwhelming at first, but with the right company, it becomes something special. Originally, I’m from Asilah, Morocco, a small coastal town that taught me the beauty of simplicity, hospitality, and human connection. That mindset is something I still carry with me, and it shapes the way I host and connect with people. As a traveler, I much prefer staying with locals rather than in hostels. For me, travel is about connection. I enjoy meeting new people, discovering places that aren’t in guidebooks, and sometimes building real friendships that last beyond the trip. Couchsurfing, to me, is more than just a place to stay—it’s about sharing experiences and building bridges between cultures. I would recommend it to anyone who is open-minded, respectful, and curious about the world. ⸻ 🌍 People I’ve Hosted (a small souvenir of great memories) 1. Bonnie (USA) – 1 night 2.
