Overview
About Me
Jakarta-based, dad, and part-time explorer of my own city.
I enjoy slow, unplanned wandering—walking through neighborhoods, noticing small details, and understanding how a place actually feels, not just what’s on the surface. If you’re the kind of traveler who prefers “let’s just walk and see where we end up,” we’ll probably get along well.
I have a motorbike and occasionally some free time, so I’m happy to show you around parts of Jakarta—especially West to North Jakarta, where things are a bit more raw, local, and real.
Not really into clubbing or loud nightlife. I lean more toward simple things: food stops, random chats, quiet spots, or just cruising around the city.
CURRENT MISSION
Trying to build a home that feels alive—not just filled with things, but with stories behind them.
I like spaces where every corner has meaning, even if it’s something small or random. Sometimes it’s an object, sometimes just a story someone shared.
Slowly, I hope it becomes a place shaped by the people who come through.
Also: collecting good conversations from people around the world.
PHILOSOPHY
Sometimes you plan. Sometimes you just go childhood randomness and going with the flow:
“Eeny, meeny, miny, moe…”
or even better: hompimpa halaiyum gambreng.
Either way—you move, and something interesting usually happens.
Life doesn’t always have to make perfect sense—sometimes you just pick a direction and see where it takes you.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like the idea that strangers can meet and quickly feel familiar—just by sharing stories and perspectives.
Not every connection has to be intense or long-lasting. Sometimes a short walk, a random conversation, or a different point of view is already enough to make a place feel more meaningful.
Also, Jakarta can be confusing if you don’t know where to look—so I don’t mind helping people see a version of it that’s a bit more grounded.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
closing my eyes and ears during the DUFAN haunted house until the end of show.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can offer a bit of language and a bit of craft—some Bahasa Indonesia, some simple digital imaging—but nothing too formal. What I really enjoy is the exchange: hearing how people see the world, the quiet details of their everyday life, the stories they carry with them. In the end, it’s not about teaching or learning as much as it is about sharing something real, even if it’s small.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A relaxed, low-pressure hangout.
We can explore parts of Jakarta together, grab food, or just walk around and talk. No fixed agenda—more like seeing where the day goes.
If you’re independent and enjoy figuring things out while having some local context, that’s probably the best match.
