My friends call me Alain. I'm leftist, academic, activist, easily drawn to any type of debate, tend to get philosophical optimistic when I'm tipsy, and mellow when I smoke. I get passionate about my work. And Jokes are my defence mechanism, so please call me out on my lame sense of humour 😂. I'm low maintenance, responsible, clean, sociable, and open-minded, I feel comfortable speaking French, English and Arabic, and I cook great Lebanese food. When I'm in a good mood, I tend to believe in the good of humanity. I'm a Humanitarian Architect, and I'm a scholar in the intersection between Architecture and Migration studies. I do not travel for sightseeing but rather to meet people and to hear their stories, and lives. I'm a socially extroverted person, so expect a lot of entertaining stories. Yet, I do respect my boundaries.

I try to open my door as much as possible. I'm interested in people, culture, and architecture. and I think the concept of Couchsurfing, fits perfectly with what I like about travelling; I like the fact of meeting like-minded people, expanding our network, and welcoming people into my life.
