Easy going, tidy, minimalist. I enjoy travelling and enjoy the company of other travellers regardless of age or gender. I love exchanging stories, ideas and life's experiences over a meal. I'm a non smoker and non drinker. Probably vegetarian 90+% of the time. Travelled extensively in the 1970's when based in the UK and Netherlands. Settled down in Australia and raised my family. Mostly travel to SE Asia nowadays as I like Buddhist cultures. Though recently spent a number of months in Nepal where I walked the Manaslu circuit. Still active, fit, practice yoga and meditate daily. I prefer to host for at least two nights. Its less work for me 😊 and we can get to know each other better. I have four adult children.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I like to meet and get to know other travelers, hear their stories and share ideas. I am in the fortunate position of having my own home and if I can help people by sharing my home I am happy to do so. It's my way of giving back some of the hospitality I have received over many years from others.
Music, Movies, and Books
If it's good music it's good music regardless of genre. Not a big book reader I read more articles. Mostly factual books or biographical books. Movies - humour, art house.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Stayed alive this long :-)
Teach, Learn, Share
Happy to learn from others and for others to learn from me. We all have something to teach and to learn. Have taught English as a second language to adults.
What I Can Share With Hosts
Hospitality. A clean bed and a meal. Chats on my back deck overlooking a sub tropical garden in a peaceful environment. You can borrow my bicycle if you want to ride around the plateau I live on.
