Overview
About Me
Hi, I’m Alberto, 30 years old, born and raised in Italy. I’ve been lucky enough to travel quite a bit, and I always try to experience places through the eyes of locals rather than as a tourist. Meeting people, sharing stories, and discovering small everyday details of a culture are what make a trip special to me.
I live in the countryside, surrounded by nature and an army of cats (I’ve lost count — and they probably run the place). I love gardening, growing vegetables, doing DIY projects, and finding creative solutions with whatever tools are at hand. I also volunteer with a local association that cleans and revitalises urban spaces.
Music is a big part of my life — I organise small concerts in unusual locations, working with both local and international artists. Recently, I joined Rust2Dakar, a charity rally where, together with about 20 other teams, we drove from Italy to Guinea-Bissau and donated our cars to the NGO Tavolo 8 for their cooperation projects in West Africa.
I’m curious, friendly, and easy-going. Whether we’re cooking together, sharing music, exploring your city, or just having a good conversation over a glass of wine, I’m all in.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
[COUCHSURFING]
I want to meet locals when I go traveling, and I want to meet more travelers in my own city. I love using hangouts, and I've met so many awesome people through it - travelers and locals alike!
[HOSTING]
I finally have my own place, so I can hopefully host! If you reach out to me, please somehow indicate that you've read at least part of my profile.
[PHILOSOPHY]
*Leave the world in better shape than when I found it, without making a lot of fuss about it*
Revolve work around life, not life around work.
There is no such thing as 'too busy' - only a list of higher priorities and lower priorities.
Live life to be happy, not for money, power, wealth, or status. Live life to love life!
Interests
I love traveling. It's an eye-opener, it induces growth and personal development, and it's inspiring. It has opened my eyes to the rest of the world, changed my perspectives, made me more open-minded and tolerable, more adaptable and flexible. I have grown from it more than I know, and it has really made me better appreciate what we have in this life. I love traveling, and I plan on continuing to do so for the rest of my life. I travel with friends and family, but I love love love solo traveling. It's so freeing and I end up talking to more people.
