About Me

Hey I'm Alex!
I’m a Polish guy living in Berlin, currently taking a sabbatical, travelling through a bunch of countries (South Africa - Brazil - Argentina - Let’s see what next?). I spend most of my time on this trip practicing surfing, hiking, training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and meeting some awesome new friends.

I’m a big believer in the power of a good laugh, and more generally the power of joy. So I try not to take life too seriously, and leave lots of space for spontaneous fun moments and adventures (adventures like long hikes in the mountains, last minute night-out plans, trying new kinds of street food). I’m fascinated by positive psychology (currently deep into 'Positive Intelligence' concept by Shirzad Chamine).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love Couchsurfing because I believe it’s the best way to meet cool people in other countries. By cool I mean warm, open-minded, and curious-about-life people

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

10 day hike in Corsica (GR20) with my best friend:
- overcame super strong pain in my legs first few days and ended up doing the entire hike as planned (although we were literally running the last 2 days to make it on time)
- slept in gorgeous places in the nature
- this was my celebration of end of university and beginning of professional life
- had to skip graduation ceremony to do this - but still worth it

Teach, Learn, Share

Share:
- travel tips for countries I've visited (like must-do spots etc)
- I love to talk about great movies and books and exchange recommendations
- we can speak one of the languages I know, if you fancy learning or practicing a new language
Learn:
- always keen to try new sports
- I'd love to hear about your culture and history - if you enjoy talking about it
