Ciao! Mi chiamo Alessandro, sono originario del Piemonte, più precisamente del Monferrato dove sono nato e cresciuto.

Dopo aver studiato Informatica all'università di Torino e lavorato come consulente IT, ho avuto l'opportunità di trasferirmi a Milano per iniziare un nuovo percorso lavorativo come ricercatore.

Sono appassionato di tecnologia, sport e cucina. Mi definisco una persona piuttosto tranquilla, razionale e, pur essendo piuttosto introverso, mi considero aperto a nuove conoscenze ed esperienze, sempre interessato ad imparare qualcosa di nuovo da ogni persona che incontro.

Hello! My name is Alessandro, originally from Piedmont, specifically from Monferrato where I was born and raised.

I am passionate about technology, sports, and cooking. I consider myself to be quite calm and rational, and although I am quite introverted, I am open to new acquaintances and experiences, always eager to learn something new from everyone I meet.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Mi sono iscritto su Couchsurfing nel 2019, attirato dalla curiosità dopo averne sentito parlare sui social.

Nonostante le intenzioni iniziali, per vari impegni e il Covid-19 non ho potuto utilizzarlo in maniera attiva, motivo per cui non ho ricevuto referenze in quegli anni. Recentemente, però, ho riscoperto il mio profilo ed ho iniziato a utilizzarlo attivamente, soprattutto per trovare alloggi brevi quando il lavoro mi porta lontano da Milano.

Ora Couchsurfing è diventato uno strumento importante per me, non solo per la convenienza di trovare alloggi all'ultimo minuto, ma anche per i benefici economici, per questo ritengo che sia una valida alternativa rispetto agli alberghi o ad altre soluzioni di alloggio temporaneo.

Allo stesso tempo, apprezzo molto l'aspetto umano della piattaforma: mi piace ascoltare le storie di chi viene da lontano e, quando sono in città e disponibile, offrire la stessa ospitalità nella mia casa.

I joined Couchsurfing in 2019, drawn by curiosity after hearing about it on social media.

Due to various commitments and the Covid-19 pandemic, I couldn't actively use it, which is why I didn’t receive any references during those years. Recently, however, I rediscovered my profile and began using it actively, especially to find short-term accommodations when work takes me away from Milan.

Couchsurfing has now become an important tool for me, not only for the convenience of finding last-minute lodging but also for its economic benefits, making it a viable alternative to hotels or other temporary housing solutions.

At the same time, I greatly appreciate the human aspect of the platform: I enjoy listening to the stories of those from afar and, when I'm in town and available, offering the same hospitality in my home.

Anche se durante i viaggi il mio tempo libero è spesso limitato, quando possibile, mi piace approfondire la conoscenza con chi mi ospita magari andando a mangiare insieme e, quando posso, portando un piatto tipico delle mie zone per offrire un assaggio della mia cultura.

Even though my free time is often limited while traveling, whenever possible, I enjoy getting to know my hosts better, perhaps by going out to eat together. When I can, I bring a typical dish from my area to offer a taste of my culture.
