Hi everybody, I'm Alessandro Coppola. I'm from Milan, Italy.

I'm so crazy about cities that started to study them and to write about them (in order to have an excuse to travel). I'm a scholar and college professor in the field of urban studies currently working in Milan and Rome. I lived and worked in Milan, Rome, Paris, Baltimore and New York City.

Culture in all its forms and directions: i love to read, listen, see and witness. I'm understandably very interested in cities, in their successes and failures. I'm interested in politics, everywhere and from any point of view. But my greatest interest is other human beings (no offense to animal and plants).

I can tell you what I'm reading now (March, 13, 2013) - The Budenbrock, Thomas Mann plus a ton of books for work - the last thing I saw at the opera - Dog's heart, at the Scala a few minutes ago - the last movie I watched, "Anna Karenina" two days ago - and what I listened to today while working - Nina Simone.
