Hello !

We are Alessia and Alberto, two Italian travellers who love and respect nature, animals and people. After we finish our university we decide to start exploring the world and travelling with a low budget to get in touch with different cultures of our own. We want to explore as much as possible of this wonderful world. We are funny, curious and energy people always ready for new experiences!

We love nature as well as culture, history and arts. Alessia has a degree in philosophy and she is a swimming teacher, and Alberto a degree in history and he knows how to cook, back in Italy was a cook/pizzamaker. We love cooking to let other people enjoy our food but we also like tasting international veggie foods because we are vegan.

Among other things we like reading good books, historical, fantasy, essays, novel etc. we love arts of every kind, sports, outdoor activity, climbing, camping...well a lot of stuff you can discover more talking with us :)

We are both environmentally and socially concerned, we try to do as much as possible in our small way to live and to travel sustainably. Always up to discuss about political ed eco stuff in a friendly way!

We're currently in a small apartment in Wanaka. And since we have a bit of space, we'd like to offer a place for travellers passing through to meet new people.Alberto is free based on work days while Alessia is currently at home so happy to share some time together

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We join this community because we wants to make some new friends around the world and we also think this is a better way to visit and lives different country. Get in touch with local people gives us the opportunity to really know the culture of that country. We also love the idea of sharing the travel experience with other people who loves to travel.
This is an opportunity to learn something new and to share idea, as well good conversation with a glass of wine :)

Is always difficult choose favourites books, films etc right now they are:

Alessia: essays on feminism, veganism, sustainability, human rights in general and at the moment Russian novels (i have to start reading War and Peace)

Alberto: BojackHorsman, Lolita (only the book), LOTR (books and movies), Watchmen (both the graphic novel and the movie), historical essays and novels, fantasy books.

We are generally open to any kind of music, classic, rock, rap etc..

We can talk a lot about history and philosophy

Alberto knows how to cook so he can teach you some italian or vegan receipt. Alessia is a swimming teacher so if you need a lesson she is more than welcome!
