Update: recently arrived in New York, where I might end up being for the foreseeable future! ………….. I’m from the UK, and currently taking a year away from work to see what else is out there (away from an office). So far I’ve cycled Iran, volunteered in Cambodia and backpacked across south east Asia. I’m finishing off the year by attempting to cycle across the great USA with a friend....in the middle of summer. It’s a daunting challenge, but we’ve met some amazing people and seen some serious sights. so far, so good. I’m new to Couchsurfing, but love the concept. I hope when I have some proper space in the future I can pay it back!

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
To meet interesting new people and explore exciting new places. There's no better way of getting to know a place than meeting the people who live there.
Music, Movies, and Books
I'm not a massive reader sadly. When I do read, I lean towards real life. Usually an autobiography. Music...that's too much of a difficult question. The best live gigs I've been to were Prince, Radiohead and the Rolling Stones. My opinion can change on any given day though.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Cycled around Iran for a month, covering more than 1000 miles in 40c heat. One of the best experiences ever. I even dragged my dad along for the ride!
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm always interested in learning about people and their cultures. People are endlessly fascinating after all! I find politics simultaneous fascinating but also very annoying. I understand it can also be a very touchy subject in some countries!
What I Can Share With Hosts
I have a lot of long winded anecdotes. A few of them are even funny sometimes.
