Overview
About Me
Hi there! My name is Alex and I’m a Computer Science & Linguistics student at Minerva University. I’m originally from Russia, currently based in Seoul, and often hopping between continents for study, research, and curiosity. My academic focus is on AI and language, and my thesis explores how superheroes like Spider-Man speak (yes, really — ask me about it!).
Beyond the classroom, I love getting to know people from all walks of life. I’ve lived and studied in cities across the U.S., Europe, and Asia — each place reshaping how I see the world and relate to others. I believe travel is as much about the people you meet as the places you go.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m here to exchange stories, share space, and learn what daily life looks like in your part of the world. Hotels are fine, but nothing beats late-night conversations over tea or spontaneous walks led by locals. I’m always happy to help cook, clean, or geek out over languages, code, or culture.
