On my first fully solo trip, hitchhiking, Couchsurfing and camping. I arrive in Chicago on 09 Aug and depart Denver on 02 Sept. I will make my way through Iowa and Nebraska in between. I have never been to the US before!

I fell in love with hostels and meeting people from around the world. I enjoy not knowing where the adventure will take me and speaking to those I meet and making plans up on the spot. I’ve ended up bringing a few people along with me in the past and it was great to share the experience. But on this longer, more expensive, trip cheap hostels and international travellers will be harder to come by. Good, I’m here to experience the real USA so it’s time to go out of my comfort zone and rely on the kindness of others to make this trip.
