Hi my name is Alex, I grew up in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee, a small town in the southern part of Austria in the midth of mountains and lakes. My family is running an organic crop farm and I've studied for my B. Sc. in agricultural sciences in Vienna and my M. Sc. in agrimanagement in Munich. During school I've been member of a rowing team, now it's still a hobby like playing ice hockey. Basically I do like every kind of sports. Besides that I'm into travelling, meeting new people, friends and family, good food and all different kinds of culture.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I travelled through Europe a lot with my buddies during school holidays and always wanted to try couchsurfing, but unfortunately never did. After my studies I have done a roadtrip through the US with a friend. As expected it became a great opportunity to meet people everywhere throughout this big country and get a first hand connection to their homeland and culture. Additionally Couchsurfing of course is a possibility to extend the trip by lowering the costs - so win win :)

At the moment (late 2022) I‘m doing a Roadtrip in Australia with my girlfriend. We are both from the same town and currently living in Munich. We are in between jobs after working for a couple of years. She is a doctor and I worked in IT (product development/management). Looking forward to meet some great people along our way as we already did :)

Unfortunately I'm not a big reader of printed books. I love to follow the news and read about everything I'm into or that comes my way (history, politics, sports, science). I'm still waiting and hoping for the day to come becoming a book worm!

Music depends on my mood - soul, classic, trap, etc.

From time to time there are movies I do like, but I'm more into documentaries. Love Game of Thrones.

All different kinds of trips with friends e.g. through Europe or Ecuador. Studying abroad in Germany or the Netherlands. Enjoying the summer at home at the lake!

I love to explore new places and expand my horizon. I like to cook and be active by doing all kinds of sports. As I am used to work on a farm I don't mind physical work or harsh conditions. I'm very interested in stories, experiences, views and opinions of other people, therefore I like to sit down togehter having interesting conversations and a good meal.
