About Me

Just defended some days ago my Dissertation (disputation/PhD) and can host now again.

I play a bit Piano, listen often concerts of the Berlin Philharmonic, cycle through and around the city, go running, love cooking (I'm not vegan or vegetarian), cinema, swimming in the lakes nearby, research, politics, philosophy, contemporary and experimental arts, open for more night life and cocktail bars, and allways a Woody-Allen-movie.

I believe in human rights and using your own mind (Kant). Please consider this in case "checking out lokal food" sounds for you more important ;-) And please consider as well that particulary in Berlin we have a quite liberal way of living (e. g. swimming sometimes naked in lakes, direct communication, ...).

Travelling means leaving your comfort zone and friends to find new ones and to change your life.

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.' We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we're liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others." (Marianne Williamson: A Return to Love 1992)

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
