CURRENT MISSION I am trained as a dance therapist, currently teaching all kind of groups. I am also on my way to become a clinical psycholigst. And - I work in human spaceflight, training astronauts! I dedicate myself to science, but also sharing science to the public. PHILOSOPHY Here is one of my oldest childhood memories: I've been sitting on a plane, while we were flying above the clouds. I could see small villages passing by and I wished I could just point at one place and fly down there. I would invisibly enter people's houses and listen to their conversations. I was so fascinated by the idea, that this planet is packed with human stories - biografies and dreams. Whenever I sit in metros or walk around in big cities, I am driven by the same curiosity. Today I am working in clinical psychology, being confronted with stories everyday. And I am certain, that I will never get bored of listening. So my philosophy is listening. Leading is listening. Dancing is listening. Nevertheless - I am Romanian, so I do talk a lot!!

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE I am part of the local group in Cologne. And I used CS during my gap year in Asia. It was amazing!
Music, Movies, and Books
"headstuff", "deepthoughtstuff",no random things - there should be an idea behind it. Actually I read a lot of scientific stuff. Some years ago I tried to force myself to read 9 science books and one "normal one", but I gave up quickly and remained Sheldon Cooper. I have no TV - and I am proud of it. Reality is much more fun!
One Amazing Thing I've Done
okay honestly, there are these main things which I would seriously call my sense of life: - failing! I failed several times in any kind of stuff - and I am always inspired to see how it helped me refocusing my values and ideals. I consider myself an expert in failing and falling. - dancing contact improvisation! - writing a book - you can check it here: www.menschen-mit-meer.de - running around on an austrian glacier and pretending that it's Mars (yeah I know...nerd!) - work with people and movement//teach Embodiment at the university and share my concepts of science and physicality to all kind of people. - visit the ESA in Cologne and talk to an Astronaut on the ISS, while he was there! - work at the coolest place ever: :envihab (part of the DLR) - doing research about mindfulness and compassion, combined with Virtual Reality - feeling a deep connection to nature, forests and mountains
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach: -how to use german or romanian bad words. :-) -how to make funny street theatre or have a session of free hugs! -how to use a swing on a playground -how to find some beauty in everything! -how to dance contact improvisation -how to eat the whole day! I want to learn everything. No joke. I love conversation topics such as: - "if you would be able to travel in time, would you go to the future or past" - "what moves you?" - "if you could choose one superpower, which one would it be?" - "if you could increase one character trait in our humanity, which one would that be?"
What I Can Share With Hosts
you can crash my couch, even though I have no couch - but I have a cozy floor!
