I was a chemist, recently retired and like to go hiking/ trekking in all parts of the world.

I have little experience so far with couchsurfing. I dislike staying in hotels and prefer traveling with simple means, mostly using a tent. But sometimes I would appreciate some contact and exchange with local people or a little more comfort for the night.

I am mainly interested in hiking and trekking, searching for rare plants and travelling in general.
