COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've met up with a couple of couchsurfers in Canada and have had a really good experience so far! I find everyone on this site is really laidback and adventurous with some good stories to tell. Right now I'm in Kingston so I'm just looking to meet like-minded people in the area.

Music: Hip hop, dubstep, Tim Minchin and country (all the controversial genres) though I do like listening to acoustic/rock and most other types

Books: The Alchemist, The Untethered Soul, Sherlock Holmes, True Grit, Count of Monte Cristo, Oryx and Crake, The Sisters Brothers, Memoirs of a Geisha, Life of Pi, The Fountainhead, Mind Wide Open, Barney's Version, A Thousand Splendid Suns, Anything by Douglas Coupland, Kurt Vonnegut or Dr. Seuss. I also really liked reading J.K. Rowling's commencement address - I'd recommend it

Movies: I watch a lot of documentaries...some of my favourite are: I Am, The Perfect Runner, The Naked Brand, Forks over Knives, Happy, Life in a Day, The Musical Brain.....I also liked other non documentary movies like Snatch, Les Miserables and Up

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

One time I spent a weekend on an Ojibwe reserve near Peterborough, Ontario doing a wilderness survival course. We spent the time learning how to build fires, a lean-to and other survival tricks. The instructor was full of stories, tips and philosophies and found the whole experience pretty incredible :)

I can honestly learn from some aspect of everyone and enjoy meeting them. I'm not even close to having it all figured out and meeting people tends to help me learn more about myself along the way.
