My number one love is the Earth, and my number two love is TRAVEL! I love to meet new people, learn about new cultures, and see new places. I'm currently living in a gorgeous, agricultural community in the Comarca Ngäbe-Bugle, Panama. All Peace Corps Volunteers will tell you it's the "toughest job you'll ever love," and I agree 100%. I've thrown myself into tropical agriculture, Ngäbere culture, and sustainable development projects, all things I had no prior experience with, and it's been an incredibly rewarding roller coaster ride that will leave me a different person.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
Previously, I was interested in Couchsurfing because of the places I could visit. Now, I'm most interested in people visiting me. The Comarca Ngäbe-Bugle is entirely untouched by tourism--the only other gringos I find here are other Peace Corps Volunteers. However, I think my community has potential to be a destination for the most adventurous class of tourists, because of its natural beauty and authentic culture. I thought Couchsurfing was a good place to start to test my theory!
Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite artists are Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Mumford & Sons. My favorite movies are Inglorious Basterds, Slumdog Millionaire, and Fight Club. My favorite books are Brave New World, Harry Potter, and White Fang.

Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach ecology, agriculture, English, and Spanish. I would love to learn about new natural environment. I can share my enthusiasm for the outdoors!
My Interests
I love to travel in any way, shape, or form: though the meaningfulness of a trip increases exponentially with the amount of time you stay there, I am also always down for short, weekend trips. My more daily hobbies include reading, watching movies, playing games, and drawing.
