I am currently in Auckland, NZ with my boyfriend, Paul. He is working as an engineer and I work as a trainer and tutor of various subjects.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We Couchsurf as much as we can find time for!

Right now we have flatmates, so if we agree to host you, you cannot be in the house if we're not home. That means early weekday wake up calls. :-) Weekends are better.

We sometimes go to weekly meetings and travel when we have the time (which isn't that often sadly).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

AMAZING! I love this community and the friendships I've made because of it. For details of our experiences in couch surfing you can read the references- they speak for themselves. However, no words can ever express the wonderful sensation of feeling at home in a foreign land or of letting a stranger into your home and watching as they immediately become 'part of the family'.

Interessen

I love to travel, obviously. I love spending time with my family and friends~ these are the most important things in life to me, the people I meet in it. Anything else is a bonus. Basically my interests are wide spread- listening to music, watching movies, dancing, whatever it may be as long as it's with people I love.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I'm a bit of a book worm, well, at least I used to be. Now I find I spend more time on the computer than engrossed in a book, but I'm trying to change this. Any suggestions for a good read? As for music, I like pretty much everything. It really just depends on the mood I'm in. We like to collect music as we travel, so be prepared, we may ask you for some 'local favs'. :) Movies are a way to relax and escape the real world, so I like happy ones, of course romantic comedies. But sometimes I like to think and enjoy a good action adventure, pretty much anything except horror.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Too many to choose from, though helping to save a pod of whales is a recent one that tops the list at the moment. Meet us and we can tell you all about the many amazing things we've seen. It's better that way. :) See you soon!

Lehren, lernen, teilen

If anybody needs a warm scarf for the winter and wants to learn how to knit, I can teach you. I'm currently looking to learn a bit of Maori and always welcome the opportunity to practice Spanish or any of the other languages I dabble in.
