ABOUT ME

I'm currently a student at Gustavus Adolphus College in Minnesota and my major is Russian Studies. I like to spend time with the people I care about. I have a longing to experience new things (cultures, places, etc). I am a very outgoing person and love meeting new people! I am a very music-oriented person. I studied abroad in St. Petersburg, Russia from September 2010 to June 2011.

PHILOSOPHY

My motto here in Russia is: Бывает. Or 'It happens.'
I have also learned that you need to live life for yourself and not others to be truly happy. :)

There are way too many to name! To name a few....
-Films: A Clockwork Orange, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Indiana Jones films (except Crystal Skull), 007 films, films from the 30s, 40s, and 50s, comedy, old-school horror films, thrillers.
-Music: I will listen to almost anything. My least favorite type of music is country western music. I really enjoy Rachmaninov, Tchaikovsky, Mahler, Chopin. I like techno, house, electro, rock (of all sorts), metal, rap, jazz, etc.
-Books: I really enjoy reading memoirs. Some of my favorite authors include: Oscar Wilde, T.S. Eliot, Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, Leo Tolstoy, Fyodor Dostoevsky, C.S. Lewis, Khaled Hosseini, George Orwell, J.D. Salinger, Harper Lee, Truman Capote, Aleksandr Pushkin, etc.
