To live courageously, laugh lots and learn to see the intrinsic value in every person I encounter.

ABOUT ME

I am a small person with big dreams and a big heart. Once I have a goal or a plan nothing can stop me! I love spontaneous adventures, singing along to the radio on road trips and having a good laugh with my friends. I like to keep busy with many things such as salsa dancing, yoga, crossfit, singing in my choir Harmony through Harmony and reading lots of books. I usually have about 5 books that I am reading at a time. Currently my life is in Calgary and I am working at the Alberta Children's Hospital as a lab tech and LOVE it. It is an extremely rewarding job and I can't wait to see where it will take me in life. I have recently decided to go back to school to finish my degree in Allied Health Sciences. I am hoping this propels me into a management position so I can change the way we operate our health care system here in Canada.

If you are familiar at all with the Meyer's Briggs personality tests I am an ESFJ. Look it up, it describes me quite well!

I love hosting people! I have hosted way more than I have surfed so believe me I know how to make my guests feel comfortable. Couchsurfing is an amazing opportunity to connect with unique individuals from around the world and to see the city you live in with a fresh pair of eyes. I have loved the conversations, the shared meals and the laughter. I look forward to continuing this adventure!

My whole life has been amazing!
When I turned 18 I hopped on a plane by myself to meet my birth mother for the very first time in Virginia.
My job in the medical field allows me to see amazing things everyday.
In South Africa I: went bungee jumping, saw African wild life up close, tried various African game, painted the waiting room of the sexual trauma unit in a hospital, sang for HIV positive children.
And so many more!

I am a certified swimming instructor so I can teach you how to swim. As well as a native English speaker and a TESOL certified teacher I can help improve your English during your stay.
