I’m a musician and bus lifer traveling around America with my wonderful partner (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/zaalo ) and our 2 dogs and 2 cats. We are loosely based around Austin, TX during the colder months and New England the rest of the time (at least for 2023-2024). You can find our music at Bourgeois Mystics on all streaming and (most) social media platforms. I've played and recorded with too many other bands to list here, and if you have a band, I'll probably try and join it (I'm only halfway kidding, I really love playing music with people).

So many reasons - to meet new people, to participate in a sharing community vs. sterile capitalism, to go to places we wouldn't otherwise go, and so on and so forth.

Intereses

I adore animals of all kinds. I always have a few dogs and cats and whenever I'm stationary like to foster a couple more when I can. I have a degree in Equine Science and previously worked full time as a non-traditional equestrian that trained horses through positive reinforcement. Beginning of 2022 I decided I moved to full time travel and left my job on the farm, but I am still enthralled by behavioral science and animal training in general.

My other main interest is music. I adore playing music and singing with other people and have played in countless bands throughout the years. I of course also love travel (hence this site) and meeting new folks.

Música, películas y libros

Favorite music is endless but includes metric, wild child, tilly and the Wall, paperbird, the submarines, bright eyes, hurray for the riff raff, cold war kids, the blow, tune-yards, Lucius, Man Man, and always a slew of smaller Austin TX bands I'd love to share with you. The last book I read and couldn't put down was was Just Mercy. I admittedly never read enough (I'm more in to podcasts/things I can multitask to), but as a kid I loved watership down. Right after college Mistborn was a favorite series. Most of my reading now is all animal training/behavioral science related.

I can never remember movies, but I love tons of series. The latest ones I've enjoyed have been Succession, The White Lotus, Yellowjackets, Raised by Wolves, The Last of Us, and Severance.

Oh dear, I don't think I've done anything all that grand yet, but I'm working on it! I've certainly climbed my fair share of water towers and taken countless moonlit gallops, but nothing quite worth calling amazing.
