Hello fellow travelers, I'm Amalia an only child passionate adventurer and travel enthusiast. I have been exploring the world since 2009 and it’s been an incredible journey of connecting with locals, discovering new cultures and making lifelong memories.
Originally from Cartagena, Colombia, I’ve hosted travelers in my birth city and also in Bogotá (the capital of Colombia) where I am currently living. I've also had the pleasure of being hosted around the world. Whether I’m wandering the streets of a new city, learning about its history or soaking up local traditions, I’m always eager to explore and share these experiences. I love connecting with people who have a similar sense of curiosity and a love for cultural exchange. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is all about connection, trust and cultural exchange and that’s why I’ve been a member for years. It’s not just about finding a place to stay, but about creating meaningful experiences with people around the world. I love hearing your stories, sharing mine and discovering hidden gems in cities that I wouldn’t have found on my own. Exploring solo or with friends, I find Couchsurfing to be a fantastic way to meet like minded people, share laughs and create lasting bonds. Plus the free hospitality feels like a gift that I love passing on when I host

Interests

I love reading, writing about my thoughts and points of view of the world itself. I really love music, in fact, can't live without it. I love dancing, it is one of my best skills. I love traveling since I believe it gives you perspective you can only gain by being there and experiencing life in the flesh.

When hosting I enjoy sharing local experiences, offering tips on where to go in Cartagena or Bogota and cooking up a meal with a side of good conversation. I also love exploring places with others like hiking in the mountains, visiting hidden spots in the city or enjoying local food.
