About Me

Hi, I'm Mandy! I'm looking to start doing a lot more traveling around the world and, hands down, couch surfing seems to be the way to do it affordably. I'm a pretty easy going gal and very friendly. I'd like to meet all kinds of new people and see all sorts of new things and hopefully I'll be able to kick a few things off my bucket list.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm looking to travel more and do it affordably. I'd like to actually visit all the countries I'm dying to see like a local and soak up the culture of wherever I'm at.

Interests

I like to draw, write, crochet, cook, sleep...the list goes on and on.

Music, Movies, and Books

My top favorite books are:

Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer-Bradley
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkein
the His Dark Materials series by Phillip Pullman

My Favorite Music is: Anything. I usually like classic rock and artists like Ed Sheeran and Michael Buble but I'll usually listen to anything.

My favorite movies are: Jurassic Park, The Kingsman, Love Actually, Anchorman, and The Princess Bride

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I've done is spent a summer working for Bristol Renaissance Faire in Kenosha, WI. I spent a whole summer selling beautiful jewelry, talking to all kinds of new, interesting people and speaking in an old dialect of English. Plus, I got to wear a corset and skirts as part of my job and that was really neat.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm willing to share with anyone the art I make and the short stories I write (if there's anyone who's really into fan fiction). In terms of teaching I'm more than willing to help people with their English (if they don't mind me trying to learn their language and probably end up butchering it) and teaching how to crochet.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share in the hosts' experience with me by helping to cook, teaching how to crochet, spending time doing all manner of artsy type stuff. Really, I'm very flexible and willing to share a lot.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Italy, Mexico, Spain

Countries I’ve Lived In
